A Day of Remembrance

The day the Eagle cried. 38 years ago today, 248 Screaming Eagles and 8 crew members on Arrow Airlines perished in the crash at Gander, Newfoundland. Team Hope paid their respects this morning at Ft. Campbell, KY, during another superb remembrance ceremony hosted by the 502nd Infantry Regiment at the grove of 256 maple trees at Ft. Campbell adjacent to the memorial. It is the hardest day of the year for me. May we never forget them. “May they rise up on wings as Eagles; may they run and never be tired.” RIP Screaming Eagles.
