Strategy and culture are closely intertwined, but the relationship between culture and leadership is particularly inseparable. When culture is aligned with strategy and leadership, it has a significant impact on driving positive organizational outcomes. An organization’s culture is greatly influenced by its purpose, vision, mission, and core values. It is crucial for the company’s values and norms to be clearly communicated and shared across the entire organization. Conducting periodic corporate culture reviews helps ensure that there is alignment and synergy between the organization’s purpose, strategy, vision, and mission.

Choose your leaders carefully based on your purpose, values, beliefs, attitudes, and references. Fight for what is right as you know right to be. You can choose the right and follow the light, or you can go to the dark side. What will you choose?
“The more we overcome our reluctance and take action, the more we realize just how often things can go well for us.” Caterina Rando
This quote caught my attention this morning. It’s almost two weeks since the shoulder replacement, and my recovery is going well. But I can still only type with one hand and it is frustrating. I am trying to learn lessons in patience, but I will be thrilled to take action when I get my sling off. Four more weeks!

Ten days have passed since I had a total replacement of my left shoulder. I’m back into the fight using one hand and a mouse! I am slower but clear of thought and singular of purpose. Life and learning go on, no matter the challenges and obstacles. How do you master yourself? Start with PrinciplesYou, a free personality assessment from Ray Dalio, author of “Principles.” What an excellent tool for self-discovery and self-learning.
“When you love what you do, it’s difficult not to succeed. Your enthusiasm is obvious to everyone around you, and contagious.” Richard Carlson
I was fortunate to be a Soldier and a servant leader for 35 years in the U.S. Army. I loved what I did, but alas, these good things ended at my formal retirement. I lost my Army and the teamwork and collaboration inherent to the military culture. I lost a little bit of myself. I wasn’t ready to retire, so I had to ask myself, “What now?” My purpose is selfless service; leadership is my passion. My purpose led me to my next season of life: performance coaching. I continued my education to gain the credentials and credibility as a coach. Once again, I love what I do. I help you become a better you; I help your team become a better team. Follow me!
